Judge, and Auditor were read and filed.
The Clerk reported the filing of Affidavits of Publication of
Ordinance No. 625 C.S. and Notice of Sale at Public Auction of a-1930
model Ford flat bed truck. -
Sunnyslope culvert:
Plans for the construction of a R.C.B.Culvert at Sunnyslope
Avenue and I Streets, together with estimate of cost in the sum of
$6,400.75 were read placed on file. .Mayor Woodson reported
that this project will be constructed by the County of Sonoma!
the city and county will jointly share the.expense with the city!s
share coming from county allocated funds to the.city for road work.

a permit for the right and privilege of laying or permitting to be
laid a pipe line across property being leased by him from said
company, and pay the sum of $100'. for said privilege; adopted by 7

In connection with this permit Councilman Brown reported
'that the plans sent out by the U.S�.War Department show the pipeline
cros sing as originally planned on'the McNear property and that
for that reason the -City is obligated to furnish the ctrossing as
indicated on the plans.
$750.00 for Petaluma Youth
Re'sdlut on #5955 C.S.
introduced by Councilman'King,, seconded by Councilman Seidell, directing
that the -sum of $750. be appropriated from the General Fund for use in
conducting a - summer recreation program 'for the children of this
City under the iuspices.of the Petaluma Youth Council, said sum to
be transferred From the General Fund to the Summer Recreation Fund and
.dls pursuant to expenditures approved and allowed by the_ Youth

'Payran &; Madison St. drainage
A discussion was had regarding the drainage of Payran and
MadisonAts:.and the matter referred to the City Attorney who was
directed 'to- write to the builders- of Madison Square and give them
off.ic< a1 notice of the defects at the corner of Madison arid Payran
St. Which they were responsible for creating; and notifying them
that said defect's are to be corrected before . the fall rains..
The City Engineer was instructed to supply the City Attorney
'with detailed information as to the grades, of the. sidewlks, .curbs ' and
streets in comparison with the-official grade set by ordinance
Cherry Valley. improvement-;
City Engineer Gonzalez was granted further time in which to
report on the Cherry Valley - sewer project. Mrs. F: McGovern addr4ssed
the City Council informing them that a rightof way had been secured
throug the Meiling property for the sewer line.. 'She also urged
that-.a' water main be installed instead' of the 4"., main as
contemplated by the California Water Ser Co Councilman King
:offered to take.this matter up with Chief Benoit who has already
requested the California Water Ser. CO,. to install a 6" main.
Dredging Project:
Councilman" Brown reported that- the'dredging.contract had
been awarded to the Associated Dredging Co and expect to begin
operations on June 10th, and that the, dredge will consist.of'a depth
of 4 'feet below mean low water from the foot of Western Ave. to the
,head of navigation and a depth of 8 feet south as far as the haystacks.
