REPORTS OF OFFICERS: The montEl y reports of Auditor, and Treasurer were The Clerk reported the the delinquent tax list. the Police Judge, Chief of Police., read and-filed. filing of Affidavit of Publication of PETITIONS AND COMMUNICATION'S': Letter from Mr. Fitch Robertson of Berkeley, stating that he had decided not to make an application for the position of Manager of Petaluma, read and filed. The Clerk reported a donation of $10.-from Mr. and M -.s. ,Harry H. Nakagawa in honor of the birth of their son, which donation has been placed `in the' General. Fund of the City. Application of Richard.E. Savage, Civil Engineer, for engineer- ing work either'on a full time or part time basis, read and filed. Res. of Intention to acquire Oak Hill Park - Pet..Hospital Dist. Communication from the Petaluma Hospital'District enclosing • resolution of intention to acquire the Oak Hill Park property as • hospital site ' by' -the Hospital District, read, and filed. In connection with this resolution City Attorney Karl Brooks reviewed the proceedings as.far as the Council is concerned, explain- ing that the filing of this resolution of intention is - merely notice to the City Council that the Hospital District wishes to go on record that they desire to Oak Hill Park as the site for the hospital. Budget of funds for Bridge St. Bridge & street sweeping ser. Memorandum of Agreement for expenditure of the - 1/4 cent gas tax for streets of major importance, in which the amount of $35,000. was budgeted for the construction of the bridge across Bridge .'Street, and $6000. was budgeted for street sweeping costs, read, and_filed, whereupon Resolution #6NC.S: introduced by Councilman Myers,•seconded ' by Councilman De'iss, adopt- ing said budget,` approving said Memorandum of Agreement and, directing: the Mayor and City to sign the same on behalf of the City of Petaluma, adopted' by affirmative votes. .Sewage Disposal Permit from State Board of Health: Communication from the Dept. of Public Health of the State of California, granting a permit to the City of Petaluma to continue to operate-and maintain its present sewage treatment and disposal works, subject to eleven special provisions and conditions, one of which was the construction'of additional digester capacity in amount to provide an aggregate volume of 3 cu.ft. per capita, read and filed.: Mayor Woodson stated that a copy of this letter and.permit had been mailed to Mr. Harry N. Jenks, who designed the Sewage Treatment' plant and systern- and' that it would be well to hold this matter -in abeyance until advice had been received from Mr. Jenks. The Clerk reported having received a proposal from the Address- ograph Agency and an estimate of cost of $2500. for an Addressograph and Graphotype machines. The matter was referred to the Chairman of the Finance Committee. Communication from Mr. Lohn R. Ficklin, listing his qualifications for the position of City Manager of this City and submitting letters of refersce, read and filed. Mr. Ficklin also addressed the Council answering questions about his qualifications and experience and asking consideration of his application. The matter of the appointment of a. City Mana er was dimusud and taken under advisement pending the filing of qurther ap:p icions 1 1 1 i 1 1 t 123 - NEW BUSINESS.: Payran & Madison Sts. drainage problem:° Mayor Woodson reported that the City Engineer has completed a survey of the intersection "of Payran & Madison , Streets and that his report will be in the hands of the City Attorney within the next few days.
