to order by Mayor Woodson.

Request for-amendihent to ord. licensing dogs:
Communication from-Harry J. Sabin requesting :that the present
ordinance prohibiting the running°at large of licensed dogs,
be amended so as to eliminate said provision except in the case
of vicious.dogq read and filed. It was the consensus of
opinion Of Council that the ordinance referred to was
in proper f brm. and no action was take.h by the C c il

Burns "Highway
, .Act-of-1947.. read and filed. Mayor Woodson
urged that representation from this. City ,be sent to said meeting
Traffic safety record for Petaluma:
Communi ' cation from the National Traffic Safety Contest,,
together with framed'ce Petaluma' has
received national recognition due to the fact that there were
no traffic deaths within the corporat61 - imits the
entire year 'of-1947,, read and filed.
Request for taxi-cab franchise:
Letter from the Yellow Cab Co. offering to render certain
improvements in service if grafited a. -ten year franch=ise to
operate, taxi cabs in Petal read,and filed. d. '
In this connection City Manager Lohn Fi.eklin reported
that two forms of taxi -cab Ordinance would be submitted. to the,-
COuntil- for.consideration in the. near future.- one the franchise
type" which he favored and the other the regulatory lioense
type. He also reported that the taxicab owners; have indicated
that they not combine their interests. No action taken
peAding review of ordinances to be submitted.
