on the subject of Madison Square Subdivision, Units 1 and 2,
reporting on the construction of curbs, gutters, sewers and sidewalks
which was done without contract between the City and the sub - divider
but under` the inspection of the Engineering Department. -
Mr. Ross pointed out that the valley, gutters were constructed of
pavement`'bnly and not made' of concrete as is customary and that lack
of these gutters will make it necessary sometime in the future for
the city to construct them since the water crossing the street from
one curb section to another will in time cause the pavement to
decompose and thereby fail.
M.P.-Ross also pointed out that the construction of curbs and gutters
was very poor due to not being set at proper elevations and in many
places water would.be retained'in the gutter and street section_to a
depth of three inches or more, being gderned only by the height of the
crown of the street.
No recommendations were submitted by Mr. Ross.
