ROLL CALL,: Present Councilmen Deiss, King, Minogue, and Mayor Woodson. Absent: Councilmen Myers, Seidell, and Shoemaker.. READING OF THE JOURNAL: T e minutes OF-the last. regular meeting of September 7 and the special meeting of Sept. 17, were read and approved as recorded. PETITIONS.:, COM: Request for impv. of Hayes.Ave. w Petition from property owners' asking that an improvement district be initiated to pave Hayes Avenue from Webster to Hin- man Street, read, filed; and referred to the Director of Public Works for investigation. Letter .from Lafayette L. Osler declaring his intention Of filing nomination papers for the office of Police Judge for the remainder of the term of John Keller, read, filed, and referred the City Attorney. .Application of John La Nott for a building permit read; filed and referred to the City Planning Commission for recomttenaation.
