ROLL CALL Present: Councilmen Deiss, Minogue, Myers, Seidell, Shoemaker, and Mayor Woodson. Absent: Councilman King. READING OF CALL.: The Clerk read the Mayor's call for meeting; the consent of the members of the Council to the holding of said meeting, and the certificate of the City Clerk of mailing said calls. PETITIONS, COIOAJNICATION:S, ETC: Plann. Com. recommendations: Recommendations of the City Planning Commission on the applications of Bert ?Wheeler; Wm. Deiss; S. S. Peck; Emil Volker; aii4 0. R. Skaggs; and Melvin Thompson, were read and fl_e.d, whereupon - Resolutions #288; 289; 290; and 291 N.C.S. introduced by Councilman'Myers, seconded by Councilman Seidell, granting the applications of Bert Wheeler; . ft. Deiss; 0. R. Skaggs; and..Melvin Thompson in accordance with the recommendations of the City Planning Commission thereon, adopted by 5 affirmative votes, 2' absentees. Recommendation of the City Planning Commission that the applica.tion of Emil Volker be denied because it doew not conform to-the proposed zoning ordinance, read and' filed, whereupon Resolution #292 N.C.S. introduced by Councilman Seidell, seconded by Councilman Minogue, denying said application, adopted by 5 affirmative votes, .2 absentees. INTRODUCTION OF ORDINANCES': Purc ase street sweeper: Ord. #79 N.C.S. introduced by Councilman Seidell, seconded by Councilman Myers, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE TO AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE OF A NEW STREET SWEEPER was read and passed to print by 6 affirmative votes, 1 absentee. NEW BUSINESS: Parking meters: The. -City Clerk reported that Notice to Bidders for installation Of parking meters would be passed to print and that bids would be opened March 7, 1949. ]',IIoyalty Week. Resolution #293. N.C.S. introduced by Councilman' Seidell, seconded by Councilman Myers, entitled, "Resolution of Loyalty ", adopted by 6 affirmative votes, 1 absentee. City Mgr. to make pr'eliminary investigation of cost of acquiring site of Lincoln School. 9 Resolution #294 N.C.S. introduced by Councilman B eidell; seconded by Councilman Wers, entitled, "Resolution directing the City Manager to make a preliminary investigation.and report of the cost and means of acquiring the site of Lincoln School at Fifth and B Streets from the. Petaluma School District." adopted by 6 affirmative votes, 1 absentee. ADJOURNMENT .There being no further business to come before meeting, the meeting was declared adjourned.
