as they had not as yet heard from Mr. Malatesta, he requested that
Councilman Shoemaker made a brief report on his attendance at a,
recent meeting of a local aviat group who are interested in securing
a. Class, 3 airport under federal aids He stated that an airport
in Clara 3 would provide passenger traffic and modified freight line.
In this connection C ounc il - aan pf nogue pointed out that the City
could qualify or gasoline tax funds if we had our own airport,
City ,7:ianagert Jame Krause reported that the City Attorney and he
had corferred kth a firm of attorneys who specialize in 'special
assessment street proceedings and who will do all necessary viork for
a prox i matel t% of the cost. He further stated that the. employment
o specialistslfor street proceedings is common: practice amongst
cities and that the cost thereof is included in the expenses of the

,City Recreational Director John Thayer invited the members of
the council to! view a recreational exhibit now on display 3n the
office of the Yo G. F:: E. and to make staggestions or comments thereon.
