that the City take a ction t o decontrol rents.
ir. Jas. Bur by, representing the Central Labor Cou -neil,
«.ddressed the Coixicii , questioning the statements made by
the laldlorcSQ and stated that a housin ahorta;e does exist
in etal�aAt o . He stated that many people are living, in chicken
houses because there is nothin better available.
1r. Bruce Y`cKh non., stated that his rent had been increased
110% under rent control and inferred that if the landlo - ^ds
are sufferin ; hardships that adjustments could be made under
the rent control lair - that his landlord had been ,granted
