In connection with the bid of the Petal News, which was
the low bid, City : attorney Karl. , brooks questioned Tor. Ken Ward,
Editor of the Petaluma News re qualifications of said paper.

He further s Gated that the paid circulation of the Petaluma
News is between 800 and 850`4 that ' it Was 386 about a year ago;
and that it has abproxima- tely 50 paid subscribers outside the city.
He also stated that, the paper is published orrice a week. and.
has been published at least once a week continuously since 1932;.

He said-that the 'Petaluma New is completely printed in

publications.
Following the g estioning by the City Attorney and some

recomrdendati,on of Councilman Shoeraker, that finaih decision
