REPORTS. OF OFFICERS: - The Cler 'reported the filing of Affidavit s of Publication re Notice to Bidders. Re 'claims of Mary E. Conway and Martha C,. Kenney f or . refund of t years 1933--6-34-1934-35: The City Attorney submitted a written opinion re the claims of Mary E. Conway and Martha C. Kenney covering taxes for the fiscal years 1933-34,, and 1934-35, which were alleged to-have I been collected under an erroneous and illegal assessment. The Attorney stated that the claims should be disallowed.for the reason that they were not filed within prescribed by the Charter,-and.that no protest to the as-sessment,was made in the manner required by the Tax Ordinance of this city whereupon the matter was discussed,, and.
