called to order by Mayor Woodson.

Present: Councilmen Deiss, Gervasoni, Ing- erson;, Myers, Penry,

introduced by Councilman Peters., seconded by Councilman. Ger-vason -,
.granting said application, adopted by 7 affirmative votes.
ADOPTI'O.N OF ORDTNANCE _.:.

seconded by Councilman- .Peary, repealing. Ordinance :No. 456 C. S.. came
up regularly and was adopted by 7 affirmative votes.
Ordinance No. 458 C A. introduced by Councilman Myers,
seconded by Councilman Peary, providing for the construction of
redwood piling bulkheads on, the north bank of Petaluma River at the
southerly ends of Redwood Street and Levee Street, in th:e City - of
Petaluma, California, approving and adopting the plans and specifications
for said work prepared b the City Engineer; • a - pro g r atin the sum of

came up regularly and was adopted by 7 affirmative votes -.
NEW BUSINESS.'
is being the time set for the opening of bids for the
construction of redwood piling bulkheads, the Clerk opened and read
the bid of F, G. Ward in. the total sum of $8'00.00, whereupon
Resolution #4547'C S.
introduced by' Councilman. Gervasoni., seconded by Councilman Myers,
accepting said bid of F. C. Ward for the total sum of $800 adopted
by 7 affirmative votes.

Widenin g Third St.:
` A' discussion was had of the adviseablty of commencing the
work of 'widening Third Street : and it was the consensus, of opinion that
the work should be undertaken at this tiine from, Main Street to "C"
Street and the City Engineer was directed to prepare plans,, specifications,
and estimates of cost for the next 'regular meeting of the Council.
Go. -Slow , sign for B & ' h Sts:
Councilman Myers reported that a representative of the
Parent Teachers Association had again talked with hirn' regarding a stop
sign at B and 5th Streets and that it was now the wish of that orgahizat-
ion that Go Slow signs be placed near school i- nstead of the Stop
Signs . previous.ly request6d. 'The matter was referred to• Gouncilman
Penry and 'the Chief of Police for investigation...
Mayor Woodson and other delegates reported on the Convention
.of the League of California Municipalities.
Mayor Woodson reported that 9 men had.•been put to..work on
- the Bassett Street project by the WPA authorities and that work on the
Thompson Creek project would start within two or three weeks.
