READING- OF THE JOURNAL:

. The Clerk reported the filing of Affidavit of Publication
of Ordinance No., 465 C.Se
'The monthly reports of the Auditor, Tre'asurer, Garbage;
Inspector, Building Inspector, Police Jixdg Poundman,, and, City
WharfingePi were read and filed.
REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES:,

NEW BUSINESS.:
Protest of 8 truck owners:
Attorney Leroyhounibos addressed the. Council on . behalf of
a group of independent truck owners in Protest of :subdivision, 27 of
Ordinance #460 C and submitted a petition containin n 3'9 signatures.
Mr - Lounlb.os,stated that this provision of 'the ordinance is a burden
on ; ;this Particular group who are rendering the community a service
and - .are not competing .with the local business establishments.

Mayor Woodson.suggested th anear t the Council in the very near
future plan on making a - trip to inspect some of the modern sewage
treatment plants, 'in this district.
-City Engineer "Gonzalez reported, that the mat of Thompson
Creek is now finished to within' 50 of' the 6th St.. bridge, and
that 60 of the tube is finished.' .11
