INTRODUC'T,TON OF ORDINANCES: - Ordinance No. 483 C.S. introduced by Councilman Penry, seconded by Councilman Deiss,, entitled, "An Ordinance of the. City of Petaluma piroviding, for the improvement of Thompson Creek in the City of Petaluma, California, consisting of the construction by the Works 'Progress Administration of the United. States of America of a storm drain in Thompson Creek from the northerly side of Fifth Street to the southerly -side of Fourth St'ree't including paving under Fourth.Street Bridge; providing foi. the purchase by the City of Petaluma of certain materials required in said improvement work which. said Works, Progress Administration requires to be purchased by said city; adopting th'e. plan of said improvement vvor.k and the .specifi cations for materials' to be furnished by the City therefor, prepared by the City Engineer. and filed with. the City Clerk," was read, app -roved by the City Attorney, and Resolution. #4715 C.S. introd'u_ced by Councilman. NEW BUS:INES& Resolution approving changes in general specifications and contract documents ..for the construction of" the Petaluma Fire Station Resolution #4716 C'.S'9 introduced by'Councilman Gervasoni, seconded by Councilman Peters, approving changes in general specifications and contract documents' for the construction of the Petaluma Fire Station, approved by Ordinance No. 482 C.'S.,. adopted by the City Council November 15th, 1937, adopted by 7 affrina v votes. Re,soiution approving changes in general specifications and contract documents for the construction of the Petaluma Sewer Pro fed Resolution- #4717 C S,. introduced by Councilman Penry, seconded by Councilman Ingerson, approv- ing changes in specifications and contract documents for the construction of Units A and B' of the Municipal Sewage Disposal Project, approved by Ordinance No. 481. 'C.S., adopted by the City Council November 15, 1937, ; adopted by 7 affirmative votes. Opening bids - construction of fire station: This being the time fixed for opening the bids for the construction of the Petaluma Fire Station, the Clerk reported having received nine bids' and proceeded to open and read said bids as follows; Walter singleton, Petaluma $42,500.00 Moore & Roberts, San Fran- cisco, 40 DeLuca & Son:, San Francisco, 40 Fred J. Co.San Francisco, 45 0 100.00 David Nordstrom, Oakland, . - 43, 477.00 which bids wore considered by the 'Council and Resolution #4718'C.S. introduced b; Councilman Gervasoni, seconded by Councilman Deiss, tentatively determining that Adam Arras and Son of San Francisco, shall be the bidder to whom the contract for the construction of the Petaluma Fire Station shall be awarded, subject to the approval by the Acting Regional Director of the Federal Emergency Administration of Public Works and final action to be taken by this Council, adopted by. '7 affirmative votes Broken cable Washington Street Bridge: Councilman.Penry reported that the cable on the Washington Street Bridge has been broken.and that the bridge cannot be opened.- until the cable is repaired or replaced. The :matter was ref erred to the -,.Street Committee and -City Engineer for iriv_e:stigati:on and. recommendat- pn ,at the meeting of the .Council on November "30th.
