NEW BUSINESS
Award, of contract for Fire Station to ADATA ARRAS' AND SON:
City Attorney Brooks repotted 'that Mr•. Stack of the Federal
Emergency Administration of Public Works had advised him, that the papers
relative to t'rie award of the contract for the construction of the fire
stat on, in order and that it would be proper for the City Council .
to adopt a resolution awarding th.e contract for the. construction of
the Petaluma :Fire Station, to Adam Arras 'and Son, whereupon
Resolution #4720 C,.S.

accepting the bid of and awarding the contract of constructing the
Petaluma Fire Station to ADAM ARRAS AND SON whose principal place
of �busines•s is • in the City of San Francisco', State of California, ;
adopted by 7 affirmative votes.

of New York to furnish bonds for Petaluma Fire Station
and Municipal Sewage.Disposal System:

resolving thatt the 'Gi y Council does hereby sele:c the Fidelity-and
Casualty Company 'of New York as the company to furnish the faithful
performance bonds, the labor and materials bonds and the public
liability and property damage insurance for the Petaluma Fire Station
and Units- A and B of the'Municipal Sewage Disposal Project, adopted
by 7 affirmative votes

shall be,the bidder to whom the contract. for the construction
of -Unit A of the Municipal Sewage Disposal Project shall be awarded,
and determining that Fred J. Early, Jr. shall be the b dder'io whom
the contract for the construction of Unit B of said Municipal
Sewage 'Disposal Project shall be awarded, both subject, to the
approval by the Acting Regional Director of the,'Eederal Emergency
Administration"of Public W "ork"s, and final action by the Council,
and, approving the f of resolution zawarding said contracts, to
said Oakland Sewer Construction Co. and said Fred J. Early, Jr.

resolving that 'the "Council urge the Calif ornia'Highway Commission
to cause a survey and study to be made of the portions of said
Redwood Highway lying immediately easterly and northerly of this7
city so that work-shall be promptly undertaken to eliminate the
sharp and dangerous curves now existing at and.along the said
portions of said Redwood Highway, and authorizing the Mayor to
attend the meeting of the California Highway Commission :a"t
Watsonville on December 3rd, 1937 for the purpose of presenting
to that honorable body the.request and recommendation of the above
referred to improvement, adopted by 6 affirmative - votes, 1
