Mayor Woodson reported that o:n. April,l4th.the President, Vice
President °and Engineer of the California Water Service. Company
met with members of the City Council and other officials t;o discuss
certain phases of the report.submitted by.Mr. Harry N. Jenks.
Mayor Woodson further stated that said executives of the °Water Company
had no definite offer to make In regard to the reduction of the water
rates but that they objected to certain parts of ..the water report
and were requested to put said objections in writing. Mayor Woodson
re rt application the City Attorney is proceeding with the
ppreparat ion of there s n t a an ication to the Railroad Commission for a hearing
oft said matter.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS:

specifications for the improvement of Linda Vis °ta ,ere practically
complete. In connection with this improvement work Mayor'
Wtoodson stated that 'it 'would•.be a. saving of `both "time anal money
to the property .owners if' "this work could be done by private
,contract. Councilman Deiss was authorized to dis cuss the
matter with the property owners.
Mayor 'Woodson asked that the members of the City Council

be pumped and treated by the new sewage system.
Opening of Copeland Street
The matter of the opening of Copeland Street along the line
.of the ra 1 - lhbad tracks in order to divert heavy traffic from
Main Street was 'discus,se.d and. referred to the. Street Committee
for investigation as to the best location for said street.
The, matter of the removal of the pound. from. Kenilworth
Park was -again discussed and referred to the Buildings and.
Grounds Committee for recommendation as to a .new. locatio,n,,etc.a
