CALL Present: Councilmen Dess, Gervason, Ingerson, Myers, Peery, Peters, and Mayor Woodson. READING OF THE CALL.: The Clerk read the call for meeting and the certificate of mailing attached thereto. .Acceptance of Fire Station: Certificate of complet`;on signed by Brainerd Jones, Architect and Supervising Architect, certifying to the completion and acceptance of the Petaluma Fire Station on the 9th day of July, 1,9389 read and filed, whereupon Resolution #4840 C.S. introduced by Councilman Gervasoni, seconded by Councilman Peters, accepting the Petaluma Fire Station and directing the Mayor and Clerk to make and verify for and on-behalf of the said City of Petaluma a notice of completion of said Fire Station and record the same, _ adopted by '7 af'f irmat ve votes. Re - Change order Unit "A" Revised plans R -1 and R -2 of the City Engineer covering .change order on Unit "A" were. submitted, explained by the City Attorney, and filed, whereupon Ordih'a tit e .No . 490 C . S . intirod'Uaed by Councilman Penry, seconded by Councilman Peters, entitled,, "An 'Ordinance of the City of Petaluma providing for certain changes in. the �plams, specifications and .contract documents covering Unit "A" bf the Municipal Sewage Di .-sposal Project, at a total additional cost to the City of Petaluma of $800.40; approving the contract with Oakland Sewer. Construction Co. covering said changes and directing the Mayor to - execute, deliver and seal the same; directing the City Attorney to secure the approval of "the Federal Emergency Administration of Public Works to said changes." was read, approved by the City Attorney and Resolution #4841 C.S. introduced by Councilman Penry, seconded by Councilman Peters, directing the Clerk to publish said ordinance, adopted by 7 a °ffirma.tive votes. Re - Thompson Creek drainage tube,: Plans, specifications, and es;timate'd quantities of material ne'eded'for the next unit of Thompson Creek drainage tube were submitted by the , city Engineer and filed, whereupon Ordinance No. 491 C.S. introduced by Councilman Penry, seconded b Councilman Peters, entitled,., An Ordinance of the City of Petaluma providing for the improvement of Thompson. Creek in the City of Petaluma, consisting of the construc:t- ion by the Works Progress Administration of the United States. of America of a storm drain in.said Thompson Creek, from the southerly side of Fourth Street to Third Street; providing for the purchase by the City o Pet aluma of certain materials required i said improvement work which (said Works Progress Administration requires to be purchased by said City adopting the plan of said. improvement work and the specifications for` materials to be furnished by the City therefor, prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk," -was read, approved by the City Attorney, and Resolution { #4841 C.S. introduced by Councilman. Penry, seconded by Councilman Peters, providing for the publication of said ordinance, adopted by 7 affirmative votes. Sewer Easement - The McNear Co. Deed and contract between The McNear Company and the City of Petaluma, being an easement upon, over, across and under a strip of land thirty feet in.width, lying and being in and near the City of Petaluma, read and filed, whereupon Resolution : #4842 C'.S. * 801- introduced by Councilman Gerva3oni, seconded by 'Councilman Deiss', accepting sjid deed and cbntract and directing the Mayor to sign same, adopted by 7 affirmative votes. Re !- Mt. View Av)eriue•improvement work: The matter of including the Mt. View storm drain in the present sewer project wa discuased, property owners from Mt.' View being present :at the meeting and expressing their- desire :that the improvement be made. Mayor !Voods:o . n p.ointed out that in con - dunc- tion with the drain-,-curbs, gutters and street work 'will have to be included and that the•cost of same should be borne-by the property owners. If it is passible to include this, work with the storm-drain as a PWA project, the property owners Would then be obligated to pay only 55% of the cost. Different property owners pre-aent at the meeting expressed the opinion that said share of 55%' could be raised :by them. The City Engineer was direct to prepare definite estimates of the cost for the curbs,, gutters and stre;et work and ­pre it to the City At-torney in order that he might- prepare a new agreement for the signature of the property owner-s,, The matter of the selection of an operator for the Sewage Plant•as taken under advisement.
