Awarding of contracts - materials Thompson Creek: Resolution #4848 C.S. introduced by Councilman Gervasoni, seconded by.C'ouncilman.Peters,, accepting the bid of Herrick Iron-Works for the furnishing . o all re- inforcing steel at' the prce'of $.027337 per pound., sales tax included and terms at 2 .of 1% ten days; the bid of'M. Vonsen Co. for all of the Portland Cement in cloth bags,. at the price of 63� per stack, delivered at pro jlect in 400z sack lots terms cash di,s,- count 22� .per sack, the bid of Hein $ros: Basalt Roek C'o. for all coarse aggregate at the price of $1.70 per -ton, 10� per ton cash discount, plus Sales Tax; and the bid of Capt..L. Dei s•s, seconded by Counc,i lman Penry, accepting the Grant of Easement for Sewer purposs , dated the 20th day o;f Jul,y, 1938, between L. W. Clark and Irene H. Clark, adopted by 5 affirmative votes, 2 absentees. S.. introduced by Councilman Penry., seconded by Councilman Pet.ers,,- approving and accepting that certain indenture entitled, "Agreement covering improvement of Mbuntain View Avenue with concrete m.rbs. and gutters and Armor Coat Paving, " dated the: 16th day of ',July 1938, between certain parties interested in the improvement of Mountain View Avenue, and the City , of Peta.luma;, and authorizing the. Mayor to accept:, execute and seal said agreement for and on behalf of the City, - adopted by 5 affirmative votes, 2 absentees,. -� 1 . .. Jenks for the construction of Unit "D of the Municipal Sewage Disposal 'Pro were filed, whereupon Resolution #4854 C S. introduced by Councilman Peters, seconded by Councilman Penry, approving and adopting said plans, specifications and contract documents, and direc °ti - ng the City Clerk t`o advertise for bids for said Unit D, - adopted - by 5 affirmative votes, 2 absentees.. Penry,. seconded by CouncI71 -man Deiss, determining and as6ertaining the per diem wages and hourly wages for craft or type of workmen -needed. or employed in the 'work of constructing Unit "D" of the Municipal- Sewage Disposal Project, adopted by 5 affirmative votes, 2. absentees. INTRODUCTION OF ORDINANCES: Ordinance' No. 4927C.S. introduced by Councilman Penry, seconded by - Coun.cilman Peters, entitled, " An Ordinance of the City of Petaluma providing for the acquisition, construction and completion of Unit "D" of a Municipal Sewage Disposal Project to consist of the construction of storm drains, concrete curbs and gutters and oil macadam pavement along Mounta -inn View Avenue from its intersection with the southerly boundary of the City of Petaluma to Third S'�treet, also known as the Redwood Highway; directing said improvement work to be :done .in conformity with the terms, conditions, laws, rules, regulations, orders and specifications of the Federal Emergency Administration of Public Works; approving and adopting, the plans and specifications for said improvement - work.; including the contract documents, prepared and filed by Harry N. Jenki3j.engineer of the City on said project; authorizing the acquisition and the purchase of all property easement -s, right's -of -way, equipment and supplies necessary, for the completion of said work; directing the City Clerk to file requisitions with the United States Government to secure the amount due the City under- the grant made by. said' Federal Emergency Administration of Public Works; providing for, the payment of all- costs of said project out of the 1937 Se Construction Fund," was read, approved by the City Attorney, and Re:s ion #4856 G.
