Resolution #4952 C.S. introduced: by Councilman Penry, seconded�by Councilman Peters, con- tinuing the'additonal salary of $0.00 per month for the'City Attorney to the completion and acceptance of the AlIckersharn Park Development Project,, to be ,paid out-of the General Fund of the City, adopted by 6 affirmative votes, h absentee. Co'nst'ruction of culverts on C Street: Resolution' #4955 C.S. introduced by Councilman Penry, seconded by Councilman Myers; authorizing and directing the Superintendent of Streets to construct culverts at the intersections of 'C and 6th and C and 5th Streets, at a total 'cost of not to exceed $495.00, adopted. by 6 affirmative votes, 1 absentee. North Main St. private sewer of Chas. Vallier: Mr/ Charles Vallier ;addreased the Council stating that 12 years ago he had built a- private sewer line from the old ,Dreamland rink building on the north Redwood highway to the city limits and that without his - knowledge. certain residents in that locality , had tied in with the line and had thus used, his sewer line free of charge. He stated that the line I he built: coist him approximately 0179.00 and that. since that time `he had paid into the City the su_m of' $120.00 for the privilege of using the city sewer. Be asked that the City buy this private ,line from him and charge those connected. with it the regular fee of .112..00 b•er year. After a discussion it was pointed out to Mr. Vallier that the City could not purchase his private sewer line but that the Superintend-. ent of Streets would try to assist him in securing the names of .the res using his line so that he 'can, if possible, collect from each of them an amount to make up the original cost of the construction of hi "s sewer. Thee Street Committee was granted.further time to report on the request for a sidewalk on high Street. Regarding the re- i.nves'ti.ng of the McNear Park funds, it was decided that �a., me.eting, be herd with the Assistant City Treasurer, Park Commission, and Chairman of the Finance Committee, in an endeavor to sel:ec't suitable securities . City Engineer Gonzalez reported that the dredging project, will be ccompleted during the present week and that so far 38,000 cubiE of dredge has been deposited on Madison Street for fill -in' purposes. The matter of a recent cave -in on Water Street was referred to the S'tre'et Gommittee.. Councilman Penry reported that the Pacific Gas,& Elec. Co. had been granted permi-.ss on by the Vua Department for the installation of 85 foot poles just South of the - Washington Street bridge to provi elec °trical energy for the 'operation of the bri.d,ge The matter of. jurisdic-tio.n over the trimming of 't`ree b:etwe;en curb ; and sidewalks was referred to the City Attorney for an opinion..
