" NEW 'BUSINESS' Change Order— Unit "A" - re wage for Compressor Operator: Resolution x#4956 C.S. introduced by Councilman Penry, seconded by Councilman Peters, approving and °adopting the rate and wage for Compre Operator on Unit "A" of the Municipal Sewage Disposal Project, adopted. by 7 affirmative votes. Re - Licensing of photographers Attorney John Lounibos and 'Mr. R.. N. Wheldon addressed the Council regarding the matter of licensing outside photographers, stating that the present license fee of 050.00 per month does not protect, local photographers .from_ tie fly -by -night outsiders who come in with a group of solicitors .and in• a'few days take hundreds of dollars of business out.of town. They urged that the license fee be increased substantially. City Attorney Brooks pointed, 'out the legal objections to discriminatory license fees. Mayor Woodson referred the matter to the City Attorney and Finance Committee for study and recommendation. Mr. Overton, Assistant Treasurer, stated that he had now secured a list of securities suitable for the `investment of City Funds -and suggested that a meeting be held this week with. the members of the Park Commission and ,Chairman of the Finance Committee on this matter. Councilman Penry stated that wo,rk.will be.started on t=he Water' Street cave -in• within a few days.
