Councilman Peters - brought up the matter of the removal
of the trough located on Mary 3treet . He said that a 'survey
had showrf that the trough., &s well as" the hit:dhi,ng rails, was in
use ver y seldom and that the ir continuance there, prevented

Re - licensing of bicycles:
Mr. N. W.. Moody of the California,Automob.ile Association
addressed the Council on th - e ub, - s J� - ect of -

on by the Police Department at a very slight cost and that the examination
of the bicylces,for safety devices would, be protection to the children.
The matter was referred to the,Financ:e.-,Commit,tee and City Attorney. .
Mrr. Fred Kruse brouRht to the attention of the City Council
the matter' of the opening of "V Street and the plan of some of the
.property owners to purchase a 50 _foot strip of .land from Mrs. Greene
and deed , 1 it to the City. HO�alslo sstated t hat the property owners
will bear the expenaa of moving. the Greene house to another lot.
He asked that the Clty co- operate to the extent of. makin the street
passable if the right of way is obtained. The matter was referred
to the Street Committee and City Attorney for investigation.,
'The '.Buildings and Grounds Committee was asked to arrange with
Poundmaster Burton for the� moving of the city pound from,the'sheds'in
Kenilworth Park to a site near the home o'f.the Foundmastor.

Mayor r 'Woodson reported on the recent meeting of the North Bay
Division of the League of California Municipalities 'at the 'Hotel Petaluma
on January 28th. 1,939., stating that there were 132 guests present and

that prior-to the meeting many of the delegates ins the new treatment
'Plant and 'fire station.
