Re - Adjustment for Testing Allowance - Wickersham Park Project: Agreement signed by W. Singleton, Contractor "the Wickersham Park .Developm'ent Project, agreeing to certain,, adjustments for testing allowance,, resulting in a net credit to the City of $17.50, read and filed, whereupon Resolution #5005 C.S. introduced by Councilman.Myers, seconded by Councilman Peters, accepting and approving said agreement and request- ng'the Federal Emergeney Administration of Public Works for permission and authority to deduct said sum of $17.'50 from the cost of said project, adopted by 7 affirmative votes. Re - opening of Galland Street: Councilman Peters brought up the matter of the adviseability of opening Gallan.d Street through to Main Street, stating that all 'of 250 the property necessary for said opening is,owned by -.the estate of Chris Arni,g and that at the present time. there. are no buildings in the way and that said` opening `would provide an outlet for the traffic to and from Main Street. The. ;nsta ter was referred to the Street Committee for investigation. Mayor Woodson referred. the matter of oiling - Mat <er Street to the Street C'ommitt.ee and Street Department with power to act Superintendent- of Streets Oscar Glahn requested that 'the Council consider the purdha,sing of a truck for the Street -Department. The matter was referred to the Street Committee for investIga.tion and report back. Councilman Penry- reported that numerous requests had been received by the Police Department for additional, stop signs in various parts of the C'i.ty. The matter was referred to the 'Street Committee for investigation.
