ROLL CALL: -- resent: Councilmen Dei G.ervasoni,, Berger, Myers, Penry, Peters, and Mayor Woodson. READING OF THE JOURNAL: T minutes of the last regular meeting of April 3rd. were read and approved as recorded. ' . REPORTS OF OFFICERS:. The.repor, o the Building, Plumbing, and Electrical.Inspector for the months, of January, February, ,and ,Marsh, was read and filed. The L•ibrariants: report for the month of March was read and filed. The Clerk reported the filing -of Affidavits of Publication of Notice to Bidders re purchase of materials for Thompson.Creek Drainage Tube, and Ordinances Nos. 508, 509, and, 510 C.S. REPORTS OF STANDING COM MITTEES .: The Finance Committee submitted its report, whereupon Resolution ,#5006 C.S. introduced by Councilman Gervasoni, seconded by Councilman Myers, direct- ing 'the Auditor to draw warrants (Nos. 2713 to ,2821 inclusive) against the various City Funds in payment of claims allowed and approved by the Finance Committee, adopted by 7 affirmative votes. Peters, entitled, An Ordinance providing for the holding of the General °Municipal le,ction in the: o f uma for the purpose of electin g certain cit y regularly and was adopted by 7 affirmative votes. Councilman Berger reported that there wi'll be a demonstration of a resuscitator at the Fire 'Station on 'Tuesday evening April 25th at''7 .o'clock. Hd invited the members o(:' the City Council and. City U fficers to b present and view the-demonstration. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: Councilman P.enry r eported that his committee lad studied the matter of opening Galiand Street and had decided that the cost of °said opening.was prohibitive at this time. - Following the recommendation of the committee., the- matter was dropped for the time being. A request from the Poultry Producers that the City fill in.the IntOrsection of Copeland and Madison Street, was referred to the Street Committee.
