The annual report of the Board of Health was submitted by
Dr. N. B. Rund�all and placed on file.
The City Engineer submitted plans and specifications, and
estimate of materials needed. for the completion of Thompson Creek
Drainage Tube to the southerly line of First ;Street,, winch were
placed on file,. '

by Councilman.Deis's; entitled.,, "An Ordinance o.f the City of Petaluma
providing for the improvement of Thompson Creek. in the City of Petaluma,,
California, consisting of the construction by the Works Progress
Administration of the 'United States of America of a concrete drain
tube in said Thompson Creek along "V" from the northeasterly
line of 2nd Street "to the southwesterly line of ist Stre:et.; providing
for the pur6hase by the City of Petaluma of certain. materials required
in said improvement work requited said Works Progress Administration
to be purchased by said "C;ity; adopting the plan of said improvement
work and the specifications for materials to be furnished by the City
therefor, prepared by the City Engineer, and filed with the City Clerk"
was read, approved by the City Attorney, and

directing the Auditor and.Treasurer.to transfer the 'sum of $279.24
from the Police Fund to the General Fund; the '"sum of $107.45 from
the Fire Fund to the General Fund; the sum of $294.32 from the
'Street Fund to the General Fund; the sum. of $70.20 from the. Park
Fund to the General Fund; and the sum of $1.82 from the Wickersham
Park.Fund to the General- Fund in payment of gasoline used by the
various departments during the period from February'6; 1939 to
July 12, 1939 and previously. paid "for from the "General Fund;

Royal Tallow & Soap Co. 30 days extension to use storm sewer:

Introduced by Councilman`Penry, seconded.by Councilman Peters,
granting the Royal Tallow & Soap,C "ompany permission to use the storm
drain of this City fcor a period `commencing August 1, 1939 and
terminating August 31 1939,.for the purpose of discharging into
the sam.e the liquids produced in its, plant consisting of condensed
steam and condensed vapors from its - rendering kettles, mixed with
condensing water but under no circumstances shall said storm drain
be used for the discharge of any sump wastes produced in said plant,
adopted. by 6 affirmative votes, 1 absentee.
Councilman Penry reported that he had just learned that the
width of F'Street, between 3rd and. 2nd_ Streets is only 50' wide
instead of 60
Mayor Woodson gave a report of the quarterly meeting of -the
No Bay D vision" ,League of California Municipalities held
at Ukiah on August 5th, 1939.
ADJOURNME

meeting was declared adjourned.
