READING OF THE JOURNAL': The minutes of the last regular meeting of September 5,. 1939, were read and approved as recorded. REPORTS OF OFFI'C•ERS: The Librarian's report, for the month of August, 1939, was read and placed on file,. REPORT'S OF STANDING COIGUTTEE'S: The Finance Committee submitted its report, whereupon Resolution #5068, C.S. introduced by Councilman GervasQni,,.seconded by Councilman Deiss, directing the Auditor to draw warrants (Nos. '713 to 7.9'8 inclusive) against the various City Funds in payment of claims allowed and approved by the Finance Committee, adopted by , 6 affirmative vote's i absentee.. PETITIONS AND COIFIIUNICATIONS: Communication from Karl Brooks, City Attorney, re the claim of Manue Smith for "200.,00, representing the balance due under contract for c;onstruct,ion of Unit "D" of the Municipal S.ew,age Disposal Pro j'ect,, and recommending, that said claim be pa- _d, read and filed, whereupon Resolution #5069 C S. introduced by Councilman Gervasoni,, seconded by Councilman Deis.s, direct -ing the Auditor to draw a warrant against the 1,937 Sewer .Construction. Feliz The City Clerk reported the filing by Charles J Feli.z of Claim and Application fo-r Conveyance of Lot 549 fronting on Walnut. Street, which said claim and application had been posted by the City Clerk in the U. S. Post Office, .according to the 'provisions of Ordinance No. 34, and no adverse claims had been filed against, the land described in said application,, whereupon Resolution #5071 C.S.. introduced 'by Councilman Penry, seconded by Berger, granting and conveying unto said Charles J. The recommendation was approved by the City Council and referred to the City Attorney to prepare a resolution. covering said increase in salary: I ADJOUNIV ITT'.­_ There being no further business to come before the meeting, the meeting was declared adjourned.
