Regular meeting of the Council of the pity of' Petaluma called.
to order by 'Mayor Woodson.
ROLL CALL:
Present: Councilmen Deiss, Gervasoni,, Berger., Penry, Peters,
and Mayor Vloods °on.
Absent: Councilman Myers.

REPO RTS OF STANDING COhTMITTEES:
The' Finance Commit 'ee` su bmitted its report, whereupon
Resolution ;5077 C.S.
introduced by Councllrfan Gervasoni', s'econde'd by' Councilman Deiss,
directing, the Auditor to draw 952 to 1054 inclusive)
against the various City Funds .in payment of claims allowed and
approved by the Finance Committee, adopted by 6 affirmative votes,
1, absentee. _
PETITIONS AND COMMUNICATIO;NS.:
ommuni.cation 'from Do 1 ph Young, Secretary of the Fourth
District Agriculttraral Association:, asking tkat the City Council amend
its present license ordinance to give the City`Council or designated
officer the power to refuse :circus or - carnival licenses if it so
desires, and also asking Vh_dt the Club House at Kenilworth Park,
now occupied by the Poland, Master, 'be vacated by lilarch 1, 1940.
The f matter o amending the liaenae ordinance was referred
to the Cit Attorney" and the matter of moving th-e Pound and vacating
the Club House was taken, under "advisement. With regard to the
moving of. the Pound, Councilman Penry suggested that the Sewage
Treatment Plant property might be a suitable location._
NEW BUSINESS
City Attorney Karl Brooks presented a Quitclaim Deed from
Dolph 1. Hill, Raymond M. Hill and A. B. Hill, Jr. to the City of
Petaluma to a strip of land one. foot' in width extending 388:.5 fee,'t
along the northeasterly line of Webster Street, which strip of land
is included in, the 60 foot width , of Webster Street but has never
before been deeded to the: City of Petaluma,, whereupon
Resolution X5076 C.S.
introduced by 'Councilman Penry, seconded by- Councilman Peters, accepting
said deed, adopted, bJT 6 affirmative votes, 1 ab sentee
The City Attorney was granted further time in which t o prepare
the necessary papers for the creation of a Recreation Commission.
The annexation of an area adjoining 11it. View Avenue was discussed
Mayor Woodson reporting that a 'map' of said propos annexation is being
prepared by the' City Engineer and that thereafter a meeting of property
owners will be held to determine whether or not a majority of said
property owners desir -e to be annexed to the City.
