The - inance Committee submitted its report, ' whereupon
Resolution #5080 C S;.
introduced by Councilman Gervasoni, seconded by Councilman Deis ,,
directing the Auditor to .draw warrants (No,s. 1055 to 1262 inclusive)
against the ,various City Funds in payment of dlaims allowed and
approved by the Finance Committee, adopted by 7 affirmative: votes.
PETITIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS
Copy of resolution expressing the appreciation of the
Redwood Ewire Association to the Mayo and City Council for
their co- operation during the year read and filed.
Communication from the Redwood Empire Supervisors Unit
extendit an ,invltat. 1 on to th,e Mlayor and City Council to, attend
the dinner and conference for the Highway Commission to be-held
in Santa Rosa,'read and placed on file. Mayor Woodson urged
asmany as possible of the :members of the City Council to attend
the dinner.
Invitation, to the members of the City Council to attend
Dad's night'b sponsored by the Parent Teachers - Association
on November 15th, read and filed and on motion by Councilman
Berger, seconded tj� Councilman. Myers, said invitation vJas accepted 11, with thank

City Engineer Gonzalez submitted an estiriate:.in the amount
of $480.00 for paving, rolling and. finishing the road from the fence
at the head of the Mahogany basin to the; Petaluma Sewage, Disposal.
Plant, which estimate was read and filed, whereupon

by the Council withou °t notice and subject also to the requirement
that said officers of said Board of Equalizat on. furnish 'and pay for
all light, heat and telephone used in said room, adopted by 7
affirmative votes.
Armistice Day Parade:
Mlayor n^loodson appointed a Committee consisting of Councilmen
,Berger, Gervasoni, and TvIyers, t make arrangements and provide
transportation for the members of the City Council for the Armistice
Day Parade.
Re- routing gasoline carriers around the business district:.
The Fire Commissioners, through President Gervasoni,
recommended that the Council consider leois,lation for diverting gasoline
trucks around the business district, a sue.sted route being over D
and Hopper Street to Bridge and IVtin Street The matter was referred
to th Street. Committee for study and recommen dation of a suitable route.
Thompson Creek Tube Completed:
Street Superintendent Oscar Glahn reported that the'Thompson
Creek Tube is now finished, thus ending the I,

torney was granted- further time in which to prepare
a resolution creating a Recreation Board.
Councilman Penry reported that the Street Committee had
investigated tha , request of certain merchants for permission to place
shrub: on the sidewalks in front of their respective places of business,
and that his Comm-ttae is of the opinion that there is.not sufficient
space on Vain Street for said shrubs. The Council decided tb drop
the matt. , &r for the p resent.
The projoed amendment to the business license ordinance was
laid on the table pending further study by the Council.
The City Engineer submitted a reap and, list of names of
property owners in.the proposed Tv::t.View Annexation area. The matter
iTras discussed .and it was agreed that ' a meeting be held with the property
owner's on Tuesday,, November 14, -1939 to determine whether or not said
annexation is desired by amajority of the property owners.
Mr. Renato, who recent constructed a home on 1 , At. 1 liew
and grand Viei Avenue, addressed the Council asking that the Council
assist him'oln securing the removal of a row of rural mail boxes in front
of -h-is new home. The matter was referred to the Street Conmittee to
investigate and consult with the postal authorities
