and approved as recorded.
REPORTS OF OFFICERS:
The Librarl&hl's report for the month of October, 1939, was read and placed
on file.

Auditor to draw warrants (Nos. 1263 to 1569. inclusive) against the various City Funds
in payment of claims allowed and approved by the Finance Committee, adopted by 6,
affirmative votes, 1 absentee.

Appl from Mr. John Jansen. for the exclusive right to furnish and install
cabinets for receiving waste paper and similar articles, to be placed upon the

discharge of sewage outside City Limits':

City Attorney to commence suit for recovery of taxes illegally assessed

for the recovery of taxes illegally assessed and collected from the City on

Re Recreation vonunittee:
The City Attorney reported with regard to the appointment of a'Recreaton
Committee, that Mr. James C. Crase, City 'Representative for the Recreatinnal
Project, had determined to forma committee od his own and it would not then
be necessary for the City to .appo,i mi nt <a committee.
City Attorney Karl Brooks stated that Mr. Lounibos, Attorney for the
Royal Tallow azid 'Soap ''ompany, had. reported that the propositions submitt,ed.,
by the City of Petaluma were being taken under advisement at the meeting of
the Board of Directors of said Company on November 24, and. that '& fu rther
report would be made, later.
