Re - improvement of G Street between 6th and 8th:
Mr. A. E. Owen address-ed the Gouncil c- alling attention to
the deplorable. condition of G Stree t J. between 6th and 8th.. He
pointed. out that said - street had been accepted by the Gity:'Council
Many years ago and - asked that steps be taken to improve, . the street
at this time. The lvliiyg, ref erred the matter to the Street Committee.
' IT. R. A. Kosta,, property owner on Baker Street, addressed
the Council stating that hat, he believed that a four foot. sidewalk 'on'
both sides. of said street would be sufficient. He also complained of disturbing noises in the neighborhood. The he mat ter - of the "width
'of the sidewalks was referred to the Street Committee.
Cherry St. ImpV:
Mr. Natha,n,JOhes addressed the Council regarding the
contemplated improvement of Cherry Street. The City Engineer
informed the Council. that I had estimated that - said :}fork, could
be done .:at a. cost of $2.00 Tper front, foot. The Citir Engineer
was directed to supply' the City Clerk with a 1 of the, property
olpiners, .on said street and the frontaae owned by each. The matter
of a tank ,now installed in the center �of Cherry Street was referred

Flood control:
Counci,ljn4n Berger informed the, GOUnci-1 that he had been
aske.d by' Assistant District Att.orney Chas. .McGoldrick if the city
would be interested in co-operating with the county ina flood
control - pr,oj1e*cti' The plan Would 'include in ' stallation of c'heck.
dams -at, the head of navigation. The City Attorney and. City
Engineer were asked to look into the matter.
Re - proposed bus line:
Councilmen Berger, G.ervasoni and Deiss and the City
Attorney were appointed a committee to investigate the plan of the..
Clover Clipper Transit Company to establish a bus line in Petaluma..
Councilman Delss called att,ention-to the annual celebration
. of, Memorial Day and asked for the usua-12 contribution.. Hd also 'extended
an invitat-1-an to the 'Mayor, Co uncil, and City Officials to attend the'
exercises at Walnut Park on May 30th.
