READING OF THE .JOURNAL: The. minutes o e ;last ,regular meeting of February 3rd and the special meeting cf February 10th were read and approved as recorded. REPOR OF STANDING CO1VWI TT a S : i if e Fnance CommIttee su muted its report, whereupon Resolution #5213 C'..S. introduced by Councilman Gervasoni, seconded by Councilman Deiss, directing the Auditor to draw warrants (Nos. 2078 to,2194 inclusive) against the various City Funds in payment of claims allowed and approved by the Finance Committee, adopted by 7 affirmative votes. ADOPTION, OF ORDINANCES: Ordinance No. 534 C.S. introduced by Councilman, Gervasoni, seconded 'thy 'Councilman Berger, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PETALU1,4A AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 460 C.S. BY ADDING A NEW SUBDIVISION NO. 29 TO THE FIRST :SECTION 18 THEREOF, PROVIDING FOR THE LICENSING OF MECHANICAL AMUSEMENT DEVICES AND FIXING THE FEE THEREFOR," came up regularly and was adopted'by 7 affirmative votes. Permit to M, G. Acorn.e to broadcast events Resolution #5215 C.S. intro.duc_e:d.by Councilman Deiss, seconded by Councilman Penry, granting. M G,. Acorne permission and authority to use a loud- speaking or broad- casting device for broadcasting various events during the calendar year of 1941, adopted by 7 affirmative votes. Resolution of sympathy: Resolution x'5216 C.S. the sympath olman Myers, seconded by Councilman Berger, expressing ymp ath y of the City Council to Park Commissioner W. A. Inwood in his recent bereavement, adopted by 7 affirmative votes. Re - Lynch Judgment: City Attorney Brooks reported'that he had received work from the At >torney for the Lynch Estate that his clients were agreeable to a settlemetiFt of $750.00 in payment of their- judgment against the City. It was the opinion of the majori of the members of the City Council that this compromise should be accepted and the City Attorney was directed to proceed to settle the case. City Attorney Brooks also reported that the transaction between the Royal Tallow & Soap Co., the McNear Company, and the City of Petaluma has been completed and that as soon as the Royal "Tall.ow & Soap Company have complied -with the terms of their ,contract regarding the removal of their plant., he would dismiss the action of the City against them. .,1r. Ray Kynoch addressed the Council regarding alleged violations ofthe plumbing .code - particularly questioning whether or not Jack Bone has a proper j;ourneyman' license, The matter was discussed at length bet , teen the Plumbing Inspector, Mr. S. Gonzalez, and Mr. Kynoch. The Plumbing Inspector was as ked to investigate the matter further. 35&:7 UNFINISHED BUSINESS.:. The matter of the recent; recommendation of the Board of Fire Commi,ssioh that the City Council cause whatever proceedings may be necessary to require the removal of the visible gasoline pumps at the corner of A and 4th Streets' ljvas laid on the' table for fu consideration. .No action was taken on the request of Mr. Geoncr Lash for a reduction in the present skating rink lc�nse;.
