the City clerk to send samples of the ballots to be used at the general
municipal election on June 10 1941, together with polling place cards
for election to each of the registered electors entitled to vote
at such election,. adopted by 7 affirmative votes.
Councilman Gervasoni reported that a letter had been received

from t he: BoaPTHOf` F to the 'effect that as soon
as said Board can re-rate different cities in the State that 'the:
City Petaltma will -receive a lower insurance rate covering
mercantile bUildings. will result in a substantial saving
to this class of buildings,

A group of Junior Pro Amer i cw,.girl s, who are studying civics
were present at the meeting- and were welcomed by Mayor Woodson.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
A. (11SCUS"SiOn was nacl regarding the matter of repairing the
roof 'to t,he City Hall.. Council - man, Deiss 'reporting On price's
for both repair work and new roofs of differen-t - types. The
matter was referred back, to the Buildings and Grounds CQmm-Ittoe-
for futher investigation,
Councilman Penny, Chairman of the Street Committee,,, reported
that Mr. Cliff Murphy intends to put Clark Street in proper condition
before dedicating it to the City. The matter was referred_ to
the City Attorney to prepare necessary papers f.oP the dedictl
aoft,
as soon I as the roadbed. has been - improved to the satisfaction... of
the Street Committee-.
Councilman Myer's stated that he understood that, an extra relief
policeman was not to be employed during the vacation of the regular'
policemen this year and that he felt it 'unfair to ask the regular
-
police officers' to Work extra hours during the vacation. period.
Mayor Woodson stated that the matter would be taken under consideration
and believed assurance could be given them. that a : relief officers
would be on duty-.
