READING OF THE JOURNAL: - The minutes of the last ,regular meeting of June 2nd and the adjourned meeting of June 5th were read and approve.d.as, recorded. REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES The Finance 'Committee submitted its report, whereupon Resolution #5258 C,S. introduced by Councilman Gervasoni, seconded 'by Councilman Myers, directing the Auditor to draw warrants (N 3029 to 3 , 229 inclusive) against the various City Funds in payment of claims allowed and approved by the Finance Committee, adopted by 7 affirmative votes, PETIT AND 'COIk'MUNICAT.IONS: CoiriiUnication from the American Legion Auxiliary to the Mayor and officials, of the City of Petaluma to :attend a reception honoring Pxs. Irene Farrell,, read and filed, and on motion by Councilman Berger, seconded by Councilman Peters,, said invitation .. accepted and as many city officials as possibly can were urged to attend. In connection with the adoption of Proposition No.. 1, City Attorney Bro'ok'.' reported having communicated with,Assemblyman McCollister who had informed him. that although the legislature would adjourn before the charter- amendment could be ratified that there would be a special session of the - legislature, probably in July, and that the amendment could be ratified at that time. City Attorney Brooks reported having obtain the consent of the;prope:rty owners to use the existing right of way on.Iill Blvd, for the contemplated new sanitary sewer line.
