Directors of the League of California Cities, held in Los Angeles
on June 28th and 29th:.., He also called the attention of the city
officials to the annual, convention of the League to be held in
Sacramento in October. and suggested that they make plans to attend,
said Convention.
The matter of electrical work for the re- locating of the el.ectro-
liers on North Main'Street made necessary by t`he widening of the
highway,, .was referred, to the Street Committee with power- to act in
the, absence of the .Chairman of the Light Committee.
Councilman Berger brought up the matter of licensing machines.

was had as to whether or not such machines should be licensed..
Mayor Woodson asked that the. .member's of the City Council take the
matter - under advisement and bring in their recommendations.

The matter of repairs to the roof of the City Hall was laid
on the table until the next meeting of the City Council:
In answer to an inquiry from Councilman Berger, City Attorney
Brooks reported that he understood that work had already been started
on the- new plant of the Royal Tallow and Soap Company.
