The minutes of the', last regular meeting of September 15th and
the special meeting of September 30th were read and approved as recorded.

Proposed play room and rest room for Walnut Park other park impv
Mr. W. A..Inwood, represebting the Park Commission, addressed
the, City Council, outlining the plans of the Park Corrunis8ion for
imp,rovemen:ts to the various parks. He reported that plans have been
secured for the building of t WO more tenni courts at McNear Park and
the remodeling of the present court, - this improvement to be paid
out of the 'McNear Park Funds.
He also stated-that bids have been called for a new well at
Walnut Park and that the Park Commission recommends the building of
a new rest.roorn and play room at Walnut Park, at a cost of approximately
$4100 „00.. In this connac ion Architect Brainerd Jones presented plans
and, specifications and e stimates of cost 'of the proposed buil`di ng.
This project was discussed and referred to the Finance Committee
to confer with the Park Commission and report back as to the possibility
of financing this building.
Councilman. King suggeste'd the Park. Commission that it would
be wise to investigate the possibility of drilling a well .at Hill
Plaza Park in order to save'on the cost of water at said. park.
one hour parking time limit:
: A discussion was had regarding the one -hour parking time limit
in the business district. Councilman Berger suggested that inasmuch
aS the present law was adopted upon the recommendation of the Ijlerchants
Committee -of the Chamber of Commerce that it might be well for the
Street Committee to review the situation with said committee.'
Maybt Woodson referred the matter to the Council for further
study and conference with the Merchants Committee of the-Chamber of
Commerce.
Councilman -Penny was delegated to represent the Mayor at the
Bear Flag,presenta�tion by the Native Sons at the Fire Station on
October 12th.
Group Life Insurance
Mr:; Harold Nielsen and Mr. Carruthers of the Travelers Insurance

Company addressed the Council presenting ' a group insurance plan
for city employees. The matter 'was referred . to th.e Finance Committee.
UNFhNISH BUSINESS
The mat ter of a drain , at Ken .i worth Park was referred 'to -the.
Street Committee,' Park Commi scion and City Engineer to decide on
the proper location for s aid drain.
Mr. Victor De Carli addressed the Council and called
attention to the neglected appearance of the sanitary sewer plant.
The :matter arras referred to the Sanitary Committee for' :investigation.
