City Attorney.Karl-, Brooks reported" that the case of A. Soda '.& Son vs.. the City of Petaluma had been set for trial for next' Tuesday, January 13th, 1942.. Councilman Deiss reported that Mr.. Robert Smith, owner .of the - Polly Ann Auto Court, had requested information regarding annexation. proceedings which he wished to initiate for a section of land adJoining the north city limits.. The matter was referred to the City Engineer and Street Committee to interview property owners in that section as well as property owners in the locality of G and Sunnyslope Avenue and McNear and Mt. View Avenues. X50.00 appropriation for Local Defense Council: Resolution.-#5360 C .S. introduced by Councilman Seidel.l, s 'eclondQd by Councilman Berger,, appropriating the sum of •$50.00., from the General Fund for the use of the Petaluma 'Defense Council, to be used for the payment of the expenses of said Council, adopted by 0 affirmative votes, 1 absentee. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: Councilman King brought up the matter of the poor condition of the railroad - crossing at D and Hopper Streets. The City Engineer reported that - he had taken this matter up-with MT. Isaacs of the Northwestern Pacific Railroad :and he believed that the c rossing would be put in good condition soon. The matter of_unpaid'fees for outside sewer privileges was discussed and referred to the City Attorney.
