The matter of re-financiftg the 1932 1 Improvement Bonds
'(D St- Bridge): which are callable in 1943, �
was brought up by ,Ma Woodson
and discus8ed - it being, the consensus Of opinion. that a considerable
saving in interest could be ,accomplished by there-issuing of the bond:sa
The matter was referred to the City Attorney for in vestigation and
report,,,

- Woodson reported that the War "Departmellit had informed him that
they are soon to dredge the River from.the turning basin to the head of
navigation, and that levees and spillways must.1be. constructed by the
City, - and a location obtained for the dumping Of the spoils. The
matter referred to the Public Works Gommittee to confer with the

War Department engineers and select a suitable place_for the. spoils.
Counc Deiss.., Chairman of the Flag Day qommittee,'repOlrted
that plans have been made for the appropriate, observance of Plag
Day and asked that the -City Council participate in, the parade at
P.M. on June 13th. Mayor "Roodson thanked Councilman , De -is

The SbPelrint,endent of Streets reported that arrangements had
bo'en,made with the NOrthwestern"Pac' a ific R ilway Co,. for the
improvement ovement of the crossings on East D and Washington,Streetz.
Mayor ylood'son stated that a meeting of Ifla-yoris and City Attorneys
Of Son - 0 ' ira:County will b, held in Santa Rosa on JU ll.th in an
endeavor to s:ecure financial assistance from the County on road
or street pro jects within cities,.
The Finance Committee reported the payment, of the zla'iM of
the Harmony Music' Store- in the amount; of $49. 65, Which c.' laim Was
