Motion carried and so ordered,. HOLL'CALL: Present: Councilmen Brown,,-Deis.s, King,, Penry, and-Seidell. Absent: Councilmen Myers, and Mayor Woodson. READING OF THE JOURNAL.: The minutes of the last :regu-lar meeting of .February 1, 1943 were read and approved as recorded. REPORTS OF_' OFFICERS: The monthly reports of the Librarian and the Rodent exterminator were read and placed on file. -The Clerk reported the filing of ,Affidavit of Publication of Notice of Sale :at Public auction of,the boiler situated on the property known as the City "Yard", on Wilson Street., Petaluma, California. REPORTS OF STANDING 'COMMITTEES: The Finance Committee submitted its report, whereupon Resolution ;5487 G.S® introduced by Councilman King seconded by Councilman Seidell; directing the Auditor 'to draw warrants Nos. 1778 to 1869 inclusive) against the various City Funds . in ,payment of claims allowed and approved by the Fin"an:ce Committee, adopted by 5 affirmative votes, 2 absentees. PETITIONS AND ,COMMUNICATIONS': Letter of appreciation from Councilman J. E. Penny and family for the resolution .of sympathy on the passing of Mr. Penryt s mother, read and placed on file. Opinion from the. City Attorney to the effect that the pumping of Water from the we'll on Fair Street., belonging to the Petaluma Cooperative Creamery, constitutes a commercial use of the property., and therefore a violation of the Zoning Ordinance No, 513 C.S. read and filed, and the matter laid over for further consideration. Re - refinancing of D St. Bridge Bonds*. Opinion from the City Attorney 'wi.th regard to refunding the 1932 IVUnicipal Improvement Bonds Was road and filed. He- further stated that it''is possible, to use the Pepper Kinder- garten for :-thee Nursery School b.ut that about 2200 would ' have . to- be, raised to;: remodel the- building and that school' funds. or' Lanham-.
