and filed.
I The Clerk reported the filing of Affidavit of Publication ,of notice
of mee tings of the Board of Equalization.

The Finance'. Committ_e �n mitted itxs report whereupon
Resolution #5526
introduced by C'Ouncilman King, seconded by Councilman Sieidel'l, direct
the Au ' dit!or to draw warrants against the various City 'Funds in payment of
claims allowed and approved by the Finance Committee, adopted by 7
affirmata-Ve votes.
PETITIONS AND COMIMUN1CATIONS:

to be held at Sacramento,, October 19-20-2 were read and filed.
Memorandum of Agreement- submitted by the Chairman of the War Price!
and, Ration Board,, fbr free use of the premises .occupied,-by the local
Rationing Board, 'was read , - filed and referred the City Attorney for
, inves:tigAtiOn and report back.
NTEW BUSINESS:
Resolution " #5 5 2 7 C.S.
introduced,by Councilman Seidel!, seconded by Councilman Myers authorizing
the City Clerk and Auditor to deduct and withdraw from the wages or salary
paid to each officer and employee of the City, the amount required by the
Act of Congress, ent,itl6d "Current', Tax Payment Act of 1943", ; based on the
-wage bracket withholding tables provided for in section 162ff� , (c) (1.) of
said Act, adopted by 7 affirmative votes.
Councilman,Penry-brought up the question of whether our present
Z Ordinance provides for the parking of Trailers and the regulation
I- of sanitary problems in connection therewith.' This matter was referred
t City Attorney for investigation.
Mayor Woodson reported that Mr. 0,, E. Bremner, Agricultural Commission-
er of Sonoma County is now conducting a clean -up camp4igLain the County
and that he was

granted permission to poison son the premises at the City Dumps. Mayor Woodson
pointed out that any, unsanitary conditi in this commuil be

I t was reported that the • premises formerly occupied by the Bilt-
more •Conservation Co. Were'. now _. leased to a new concern engaged in the

The 'Buildings and Grounds Committee and City Engineer were asked to
prepare specifications for painting of 'the City Hall and the Sewage
Trea,tmeh and file the* the City Attorney preparatory to
..calling for bids for said work.
