City Attorney Brooks was., asked to check the provisions of the contract with - ,Roval Tallow & So Co. with regard to - their acceptance of wet garbage, and tha recommend6ti,ors of Councilman SeIde"ll with regard to fences, gates - and. Proper sign f or the dumping area were -.left in the hands of Councilman' SeIdell.. City Attorney Brooks reported that he had interviewed 'Mr. Bettinelli, the owner of a dog - in, the neighborhood of B and Hinman Streets, and that he had promised to remove the dog, if it is the wish of his neighbors., Poundmaster Stein was asked to -investigate again.. Sanitary Inspection Of houses,. 'bars, etc. br. 1.4. B. RUndal t Inspector &. J 'Helgren,,, Rev. Raney an Al Behrens'..of the Red Cross, and 16a jor Lyre of" the q...q.Army addressed the Council regarding the za.nitary c:bndi't-ioris in Petaluma and the need for more :iftspedti Of ' eating houses,, bars., - etc. Major Lyre stated that ,th�L w,ere seriously concerned with the condition of some of' the cafO.s and bars in this' .area., and that careless. handling of dish0s as ,, and sware,, etc._could result in serious epidemics. The ; g Council heartil Y, 'endorsed the plan of Dr.. Rundall. to have regular 'inspection of cafe_ s and bars and gave him full Power t.o _ act in arranging for same and L :8180 in 'hiring a part-time public health nurse.
