READING OF TIC JOURNAL: The minutes.of the last regular meeting of December 20, 1943, were read and approved as recorded.° REPORTS OF OFFICERS Th monthl reports of the Chief of Police, Treasurer, Auditor,, Police Judge, Poundmaster, and Rodent Ext`&rminator, were read and filed. Th'e Auditor reported the apportiornment of lt77,06`6,.78 from the Unapportioned Fund to the various Funds entitled thereto. REPORTS OF STANDIT` 'CO1�)1hITTEES: The inance om- mute° submitted its report, whereupon Resolution #5573 C..S. introduced by Councilman King, seconded by Councilman Brown, directing the Auditor to draw, warrants (Nos. 1547 to-16 8 inclusive) against the various City Funds in payment of claims - allowed and approved by the Finance Commit adopted by 7 affi, at.i e, votes. PETITIONS AND COhq UNICATIONS : Resignation of Arthur J. Dahlgren as a member of the - Petaluma City Planning Commission read and filed-. Recommendation from the President and Secretary of the City Planning Commission that Frank White be.appointed to the Vacancy created by the resignation of 'Arthur J. Dahlgren, read and filed, and Resolution #5574 C`. S. introduced by :Councilman: Deiss, seconded by Councilrnan',Pen_ry,, accept,- ing the resignation of,Arthur J. 'Improvement Bond Fund, adopted by 7 affirmative votes. Re - overflow water on Lakeville Highway: Mr. Tom Caulfield addressed the.Council on behalf of - property owners on the Lakeville Highway, just below Petaluma, complaining of the overflow storm water that stands on `the Lakeville Highway in rainy weather and floods the property of the ranchers in that vicinity. Mr. Caulfield asked if stets could not be taken to drain the land in that vicinity. The matter was discussed and the City Attorney asked to call a meeting of all 'interestednarties.,, including 'representative :s of the railroad company,, the NcNear Co., County officials and City Officials and property owners to try to find a solution to this problem. Mayor Woodson report that Mr. 1 9. Gibson of the Federal, Census Bureau is now in Petaluma supervising the 'taking of a special census for the City, and that enumerators have already begun the count' of the residents... City Attorney Brooks reported that notices to be distributed to householders with regard to garbage separation have been delivered to the City Garbage Company.
