and placed on file.

The Finance Committee submitted its"renor.t., whereupon

the -Auditor and Treasurer to dr warrants (Nos. 2223 to 2320 inclusive)
against tba various City Funds in payment of claims allowed and approved
by the Finance, Committee, adopted by- 7 affirmative votes.

Ordinance No. 581 C.S. introduced by Councilman King, seconded by

th Clerk to post said ordinance, adopted by 7 affirmative votes.
Councilman King reported - that _he and Chief Benoit had made. a
trip to Oakland to inspect available secondhand ambulances and that they
had concluded that: the 1935 Chr,,Tsler whicla ,i s now being rebuilt is the
best value and that the mechanical work thereon will be guaranteed.
NEW BUSINESS:

Resolution #55.95 C.Z.
introduced by Councilman King, seconded by Councilman Brown, directing
the Auditor and Treasurer t transfer the .sum of $2.54.34 from the 1
Park Fund and .$ 293:75 from the Wickersham Park Fund, to the General
Park .Fund,, adopted by 7 affirmative votes.
The question of investing surplus funds in the McNea:r Park Fund
a:nd` Wickersham Park . F`land was brought up by the Assistant Treasurer
and referred to the Park Commission..

A discussion was had regarding the Lakeville Highway drainage
oro;jact and the City Engineer was directed to prepare his surveys as

The building of a highway on the east side of Petaluma to
divert heavy to cic traffic from the business sect on was discussedd,
and approved by the - membe'rs of the City Council _as a worthy post-
