UNFINISHED, BUSINESS ::
Aviation Committee report:
Councilman Brown reported on the recent meetings of the Petaluma
Aviation Committee, the first of which was addressed by Mr • Oscar
Johnson of t'h {Civil Aeronautics Acfi� on, who pointed out
the advances made in aviation :since the War and the need, in the
post war era:, for airports;yfor all communities of the size of Petaluma.
Mr., Johnson suggested" that three sites be seiected land maps and surveys
made 'to be submitted to and by the -Civil Aeronautics Administrat=
ion® - Kenilworth Park was suggested. as; one site. by the Committee and
maps and surveys 7 of thus property will be prepared by the City Engineer
in the near future.
Councilman Brown presented to the City-Council a •brochure developed
by the Shell 011 Co. showing the preliminary steps to - 156 - followed to
develop adequate airports for various typ of communities..
Mayor Woodson 'reported attending a meeting of the State-'s Re®
construction and . Re' ®employment Committee in San Francisco recently.
Councilman Brown reported*_ on - the, progr-e.ss being made the
Contractor in building the =levees and ditches for. the pending dredging
project
