Resolution .#5`672 C.S. introduced by Councilman Seldell seconded by Councilman BPov(n- directing, the-Auditor and -Treasurerto - transfer. $7 from the ,Iri Lieu Tax Fund and $5511.87 f.rom.the Alcohol Beverage Control Fund to the Dolice Fund- the sum of $243-.75 from the McNear Park Fund and the sum of $6,$.'75 from the Wickersham Park Fund to the Park Fund adopted by 7 affirmative votes. UNFINISHED, BUSINESS. Councilman King reported that the Royal Tallow and Soap Co. is desirous of obtaining approximately 32 acres of land from the. City of Petaluma, on which to erect a garage and to assure p--_ efitv of clearance for their drainage ditch'. *He" stated that the land which they wish :to buy or exchange is of no great value to. the ,City of Petaluma and re-commended that ne be .made with them:., The matter was discussed and refe,rted to the Finance Committee to secure an offer from the Royal Tallow and S,oap Co. and report back. CouncilmanBrown -reported that the hepos,t-war pro.ject, committee had met with the committees from the Board of Education and the Lion' 's Club and. had discussed various projects'. He felt that definite -progres made and that there wo'ul'd soon be recommendations to submit to the 'City Council. He furtheg stated that the Board of Education has approved a swimming pool and gymnasim as - post-war projects. , Boltz case: City At Brooks reported that Judge Geary has filed an. opinioh and. an order of findings in the , .Boltz Case in which he held In favor of the City of Petaluma. He furthbr stated that the findihgs will be-finally signed and-the decree enetered with in the'. next two weeks., Councilman Penry and , ,Councilman Deiss reported, on the meeting recently held in Santa Rosa,by the California State Chamber of Commerce. Most of the attendance were in favor of an increase of 1-1� in the gasoline tax,, said money to be' used for the improvement 2 - of State Highways. Mr, Penry also reported that the: Street Department will take care of'cle,aning the black-out paint from the street electroliers.
