REPORTS OF OFFICERS;: The 'erk reported the filing of Affidavits of Publication of Ordinances No.. 594 and 592 C.S. The monthly report of the Librarian was read and filed. REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES: The F, nance Committee submitted its report, whereupon Resolution #5686 C.S. introduced by Councilman Seidell, seconded by Councilman Brown, directing the Auditor to draw warrants ('No.s. 1983 to 2116 inclusive) against the various City Fbnds in payment of claims allowed and approved by the Finance. Committee, adopted by 7 affirmative votes. PETIT .A ND COMMUN;ICATIO'NS Commun c - ation from Attorney Philip S'. Ehrlich, representing the R. W. Burrows Co., requesting, permission for the assignment of the lease from.Mrs,.. Mabel. E. Burrows or a new : leaase for a period of one year on the property owned by the City of Petaluma at-500 Jefferson Street, read and filed. Communication from Mrs. Mabel Burrows stating that she has agreed to sell the business conducted by her at, 500 Jefferson St. to R. W. .Burrows Co,., and petitioning the consent of 'the City to the assignment of the `lease on said property to R. W. Burrows Ga. 'read and filed. Amendment of maintenance, and operation offer for the Petaluma THospttality House from the - Federal Works Administration, extending the date to June 30 1945., and amending the amount of offer from $15,404 to X18,490. was read and filed,.. S . RELATING TO PROPERTY OF HERMAN SKOV AND ALMA SKOV ON PLEASANT: STREET, ADJACENT TO OAK HILL PARK." came up regularly and was adopted by 7.affirmative votes. Ordinance No,. Mr: Lewis Cromwell,, representing The McNear._ Co:,.- in this matter, expressed appreciation of the co- operation which, the Council gave in working out the proper drainage of - the Perry land.
