A discussion was had regarding the necessity of resurfacing - the Highway 'through Petaluma it b agreed that the street is in bad condit-ion and that 'resurfacing should b.e done as soon as possible. It was pointed out that resurfacing the highway for its entire length will, cost 'in the neighborhood of $50 000- that there is available in the 1/4� for State Highways :Fund, only $,i4,,,9 _6 0 for this purpose, and that 'the balance for this work would 'h 'av e to be taken out of accumulated funds'for.'the 1/4¢, for Streets -of Major Importance Fund.
