READING OF THE JOURNAL:
Th. m nutes of 't he last regular meeting'oP'April 16th and the
adjourned meetings of' April l7th, 23rd,, 30th, May lst, 3rd and 4th
were read and approved as recorded.
Mayor Woodson entered the meeting at this time.
REPORTS OF OFFICERS:
The monthly reports of, the Chief. of Police; Auditor Rodent
. Exterminator. Poundmas P Judge.., Wharfinger, and Treasurer
we're read and placed on file.
The Clerk reported the filing of Affidavit Of Publicatioh of
Ordinance No. :595 C.S.

The Finance Committee submitted its report.., whereupon

introduced by Councilman Seidell, seconded nded by Councilman Brown'.
dirOcting'the Auditor to draw warrant's (Nos. 2640 to 28.16 inclusive)
against the various, City Fund's in payment of claims allowed and
approved by the Financo.'Committee, adopted by 6 affirmative votes

.NE BUSINESS:
Amendment to Election Ordinance:
City Attorney Brooks reported that he believed the Election
Ordinance No. 5,95 C.S.. as originally drafted and introduced should
be amended--in order to clarify the lan used in descrlbing the

consolidation of part of the outside School District with four"bT'"'
the consolidated Petal-uma, precincts whereupon
Resolution #5703 CI.,S.
..introduced by Councilman Brown, seconded by Councilman Seidell
mending the General Election 'Ordinance No. 595 CiSi to include in
the description of four of the Petaluma Consolidated Precincts,, the
voters in the Petaluma Elementary School District residing in East
'Marin, West Marin South Wilson and Magnolia-Voting Precincts
by 6 affirmative votes ,,.1 absentee.
Civil Air Patrol Unit:
Mt. Victor DeCarli addressed the Council stating that he Is
sponsoring the organization of a Civil Air Patrol Unit in Petaluma
to train students in preliminary aviation and asked the endorsement
Of the City Council.,. The matter was discussed and it was suggested
that, Mr. DeGarli discuss. the plan with the Chm,Mber of Commerce and.'
4th District, Fair Officials and Councilman Brown of the Airport Committee.
Coun Wm. Deiss Chairman of, the Buildings and Grounds
Committe'Q,, was authorized; to secure estimates of cost, for repairing
the plumbing at the City Jail.
Co . U—ncilman Stanley _Seidell-reported that it had been brought to
his attention that there is condition of bad housekeeping at the
City Dumps and has been indiscriminately dumped there.
The matter was -referred to Sanitary Inspector Andrew Stein fot
investigation and report to the Sanitary Committee.
