Regular meeting of the Council of the City of Petaluma called to
order by Mayor Sales.

adjourned meeting of March 30th were read and approved as recorded.
REPORTS -OF CITY OFFICERS:
The. mdnthly `report -s, of the Police Judge, City Wharfinger, Auditor
and Treasurer were read and filed.
The Clerk reported the filing of Affidavits of Posting o.f
Ordinances No4 293 and 294 C ® S.; also the receipt from Mrs. 1 17ilhelmina
Frolhking newspaper copy of the City Charter,
The City Engineer reported the completion of the Petaluma River
Cut. riled.

ADOPTION OF ORDINANCES
Ordinance No. 73 C.Sa introduced by Councilman Glahn, seconded
by Councilman Riewerts, appropriating and setting aside the sum of.�1400.
for the extension of the Oak St reet and : the Bridge Street sewers, came
up regularly and was adopted 'by 7 affirmative votes.
Ordinance No. 294 C.S. introduced by Councilman Je.ssen., seconded
by Councilman Van Bebber, re- zoning certain property fronting on the
northeasterly line of 7th Street,,, between, "F" and "G" Streets, from
residence district or zone to commercial district or zone, came up
regularly. and was adopted by 7 affirmative votes.

This being the time set.for the hearing of-protests on the
improvement of "E" Street, between 6th and 7t'h Streets, and h p rotests
having been filed,

work done and directing the Clerk to advertise for bids, adopted by 7
affirmative votes.

River Cut : r
die. 1� erk reported the claim on file of Haas, Doughty and Jones,
in the amount of $7750.00 for the Petaluma River Cut, and
Resolution +3276 C.S.
introduced by Councilman Jb sen, seconded by Councilman Glahn, accept -
ing said work as completed and directing the Auditor to draw.a warrant
on the General Fund in payment of said claim, adopted by 7 affirmative
votes, and .

introduced by Councilman Farrell., seconded by Councilman.Van B ebber,
directing the Auditor to draws a warrant in the amount of '$1.60.00 to
Ma srs.,Raas, Doughty and Jones for sewer trenching, adopted by 7
affirmative votes.
Jdr. A. W. Baker addressed Council regarding, his application
for re-zoning, stating that he had secured the signatures of the
majority o,f.property- awners in the neighborhood of the property
asked to be re- :zoned, and that the matter be given further
consideration. Re- referred to the' City Planning Commission..

Councilman Je,ssen brought up the subject of the dredging of the
Petaluma River above the Washington Street Bridge, stating that on
account of the recent freshet the yardage to be dredged would probably
amount to considerably less than the original estimate and suggested
that a.re- survey of the River be made. On motion by Councilman Farrell,
seconded by Councilman 4essen, the Mayor was appointed to take the
matter up with t`he Government authorities.

ing the Clerk to advertise for bids for the furnishing of materials
for the Oak Sticeet and Bridge Street sewers, adopted by 7 affirmative
votes,.
