Report from the City Planning Commission relative to the application
of A. W. Baker fore the re- zoning of his property and recommending that
said applicant be given a 6 months temporary permit until "set -back lines
may be established, read and filed.
Petition from neighbors and property owners located on Wilson
Street, protesting against the granting of the application of J. Baretta
for the re- zoning of his property from residence to business property,
read, filed and referred to the City Planning Commission.

seconded by Councilman Glahn, providing for the creation, establishment,
government and.maintenance of a music commission, read, approved by the
City Attorney and ordered posted.

T his bain.g the time set for opening bids for the furnishing of
materials for the extension of the Oak and Bridge Street sewers, the
Clerk reported having received 5 bids and proceeded to open and read
said bids, whereupon

introduced by Councilman Van Bebber, sec %onded by Councilman Glahn, award-
ing the contract for said materials to the A.F.Tomasini Hardware Company,
it being the lowest responsible bidder, adopted by 5 affirmative votes,
2 absentees.
The Chief of Police drew the attention of the City Council to the
unsanitary condition and the undesirable location of a stable on Keller
Street and the City Clerk was directed to write Mr. McGovern, asking him
to appear before the Council at the next regular meeting and show cause
why his permit to keep horses in said corral should not be revoked.
r ; The matter of an unsanitary water hole on Copeland Street was
`' referred to the Board of Health.
The matter of the spur track at East "D" and Hopper Streets, :above
the surface of the sidewalk was referred to the street committee for
investigation.

adopting the report of Mayor Sales, made at the adjourned meeting of the
City Council on March 30th, relative to the street paving program,
adopted by 5 affirmative votes, 2 absentees®

introduced by Councilman .Ingerson, seconded by Councilman Riewerts,
directing the City Attorney to appear and represent the City Planning
Comm -iss on and the Police Judge, in the action of Joe Baretta to re-
strain the enforcement of 'the zoning ordinance, adopted by 5
affirmative votes, 2 absentees.

introduced by Councilman Van Bebber, seconded by Councilman Riewerts,
providing that a filing fee of 412.00 accompany all applications for
re-zoning, adopted by 5.affirmative votes, 2 absentees.
Fire Commissioner Van Bebber, reported the unsafe condition of the
City Wharf, stating that it is unfit for the use of the fire engines.
Referred to the Street Committee and Street Superintendent to arrange
for the repairing of the wharf.
In respect to the memory o the'late Luther Burbank the Mayor
ordered the flags of the City j'laced at half mast. The Mayor was also
directed `to send 'a telegram of sympathy to" the relatives of the deceased
through the Mayor of Santa Rosa.
