Councilman ncilman Farrell.reported the need of a street light on Douglas
Stree.t;* to the Street Committee with Power to act.
The. Street Committee reported adversely ,on the application, of the
Petaluma Motor Co. for 4 gasoline-curbpump and further recommended that
no more curb pumps be installed on Main Street, from "B" Street to Oak'
Street.., 'On motion ion by Councilman, Jesseft, teconded by Councilman Glahn,
said report of 'the Street Committee was a approved.

The matter of the improvement of Martha, Street Was discussed at
leng,th., Councilman Farrell suggesting. that a, new-grade could be establish- lstablish
ed which would be a decided improvement on the present official grad

adoption. of 'the plans, specifications and profile was deferred until
the next regular meeting.

Attorney G.J.Hall addressed. the Council,, protesting against the
erecti-on 'by_.1Tr_. A. W. Baker of two shelters on his property on Howard
and.English Stte,e stating that,'Mr.
Baker was violating the zoning
ordinance in the erection of these buildings and asked that the City
start proceedings to prosecute Mr. Baker. In view -of the that
City .Attorney Hbwell had interpreted t he he z,oning, ordinance,, for Tdr. 'B&ke
and believed, .that the erection of thase shelters was legal under the
provisions of the. zoning ordinance, Mri Howell did not feel qualified
to prosecute the case. _1dr-. Hall volunteered his ser in the
said matter, whereupon
