Regular meeting of the Council of the.Ci.ty of Petaluma called to
order by Mayor Sales.

READING OF THE JOURNAL:
'The : minutes" of the last, regular meeting of June 21st were read .
and approved as recorded. -
REPORTS.. OF. C,.ITY.OFFICERS
The monthly. 'reports of the Auditor, . Treasurer, Police Judge and
City Wharfinger were read and filed..
The annual report of the 'Library .Trus.tees was read and ; filed.

The -Finane Committee' rendered its report of numerous claims
against City, whe"reupon,,

directing the Auditor to draw warrants against the various City Fundks.
in payment of claims allowed and approved by the Finance Committee, .
adopt by 6 • aff'ir.mative votes, 1 absentee.
The Street Committee asked for and was, granted furt'he•r time
in regard to the improvementof Copeland Street.
The Build -ings and Grounds Committee reported having had the
grandstand at. Kenilworth Park . tested as to its safety and were satisfied
with its condition at this time.
The Street Committee reported having - checked the frontages on
the petitions for the improvement of East "D" Street,. and that the
iiajority were in favor of Portland Cement Concrete, - whereupon the
- City Engineer was dire•eted to prepare plans and specifications for
the improvement•of said. °street with Portland Cement Concrete.
