Regular meeting of the Council of--the City of Petaluma called
to order by 'Mayor Sales
ROLL CALL:
Councilmen present Farrell, Glahn,, Ing,erson, Riewerts, Van Bebber
and Mayor Sales.
Absent: Councilman Jes'sen,
READING OF THE JOURNAL:
'The minutes of the last regular meeting of October 18th were
read and approved as recorded.
REPORTS OF CITY OFFICZ-LS:
The monfFily reports of the Auditor and Treas,.Urer, Wharfinger
and Police Judge were read and filed.
R EPORTS OF STANDING COMTHITTEES:
The report of tEe F nance'Committee was read and filed, whereupon
Resolution J/3364 C . S .
introduced by Councilman Van B.ebber, s'econ.ded by Councilman Glahn, direct-
ing the Auditor to draw warrants against the various City'Funds in payment
of claims allowed: and approved by the Finance Committee, adopted by 6
affirmative votes, 1 absentee.
The Street Committee reported having repaired the guards on the
'Nest Street hill in a permanent manner and that warning signs. will soon.be
erected.
PETITIONS AND C'OI1MUNICATI
Communization from the Sonoma County Building Trades Council,
read and filed.
ADOPTION OF ORDINANCES: .
rdinance'No. 304 C•.S. being amendments to Plumbing Ordinance No.
43 C.S. came up' regularly and was adopted..by 6 affirmative votes, 1 absentee.
After a lengthy discussion on the proposed milk ordinance, on
motion'by Councilman Vain Bebber, seconded by Councilman Ingerson, it was
taken under further. consideration.

Councilman Van Bebber reported the recommendation of the Board
'of 'Fire Comm ssion.ers that the present ordinance regulating the keeping of
gasoline heaters be amended so as to prohibit the use of gasoline heaters
and gasoline burners inside of buildings, tents or shelters -in the City of
Petaluma. On.motion by Councilman Farrell, seconded by Councilman Glahn,
the matter was referred to the City Attorney and the President of the
Board of Fire Commissioners to prepare an amendment to said ordinance:
The Committee on the extension of Kentucky Street asked for
and was granted further - time in which to report.
The matter of the extension of Broadway to -Western .Avenue was
referred to the Street Superintendent the Street Committee and City Engineer
to bring in recommendations at the next regular' meeting.
Councilman Ingers,on stated that he believed the method of opening
the Washington. Street bridge could be greatly improved by the installation of
an. ele swit.ch,.. Referred to the Street Committee and Street Superintend
ent.to secure estimates of cost, etc. Councilman Ingerson also reported
that the Bridge Tender's house on the bridge greatly needed repair. Referred
to the Building and Grounds Committee with power to act.
The matter of placing a catch basin. on Western Avenue opposite
Fair Street was referred to the Street.CQpmittee and Street Superintendent
with .power to act.

Resolution #3365 C.S.
introduced by Councilman Riewerts, seconded by Councilman I'ngerson,.
directing the City Clerk to extend invitations to the Mayors and
Councilmen of Sonoma County and of the City of San Rafael to attend
the Armistice Day celebration at Petaluma, adopted by 6 affirmative
votes, 1.absentee.
ADJOURNMENT:
Oh motion regularly made and carried the meeting adjourned
until Thursday evening, November 4th,, 1.926 at the usual time•and place.
